Founder bio
Michael Reed is the founder of HoopFrog Inc. He builds and maintains the HoopFrog stack end to end - product, engineering, infrastructure, security, and compliance. The platform began after attempts to use traditional dating-platform vendors proved too constrained for what he wanted to build, so the pairing, messaging, and verification systems behind HoopFrog were written in house from the ground up, with identity checks, age assurance, and safety tooling designed into the core of the product rather than added on afterwards. He is based in St. Albert, Alberta, with personal roots in Pontypool, Wales.
