5 Red Flags I Watch for When I First Meet Someone
Hey everyone! Just wanted to share a few things I’ve learned from dating. These are five red flags I keep an eye out for when I first meet someone. Maybe they’ll help you too!
They talk only about themselves.
If someone never asks me anything about me, I start to wonder if they’re even interested in getting to know me at all.
They’re rude to waiters or service staff.
This one is huge. How someone treats others—especially people they don’t "need" something from—says a lot about their character.
They avoid answering basic questions.
If I ask about their job, family, or hobbies and they dodge every question or get weirdly secretive, it makes me feel like they’re hiding something.
They rush things way too fast.
When someone says “I love you” after one date or starts talking about moving in together right away, that’s a bit much. I like to take my time and get to know someone for real.
They constantly put down their ex.
If the only thing they can say about their ex is negative, I wonder how they’ll talk about me someday. It’s okay to have a past, but I look for people who’ve learned and grown from it.
These are my tried and true flags.
